Default Problems every time trying to play XvID movies

Every time when I try to watch an XvID movie through BS-player, I only get sound and the video is green with coloured cubes. I also get the following two errors:
BSPlayer v1.00.803, Unhandled exception at EIP: 0379572B
If you click 'Close' application will be terminated.
Please report this info to the author with description what were you doing.

I installed the latest XvID codecs but it just doesn't work. Can anybody help me out here?

Uninstall ffdshow and install xvid.

Default How to Uninstall ffdshow

Hi,

I have the same problemo as zionnoah. However, can u tell me how to uninstall ffdshow? I cannot find it in my software-list (cotrol panel --> software).

Please help...

Default Solved the problem...

From another forum I found the solution: go to the command-line, type in "regsvr32 /u ffdshow.ax" to unregister ffdshow and then install xvid codec again... problem solved!
