Bsplayer may have ruined my system Windows 2000 Sp3 Piv 2.0 Ghz / 512 Mb MSI 645 Max / Radeon Prophet 8500 FDX Directx 8 I was playing some personal divx 4 an 5 files with Bsplayer from a CDRom with 1.0.0.803 version. I paused the image to answer the pjone and when I tried to play it again 'with space bar' I got a system reset. Monitor displayed "Frequency over range" message. At restart ATI message error which was sent to ATI. And I was suprised to see all my NTFS partition not accessible from windows. At this point I thought it was a virus or something but I have Mc Afee running. I installed another AV program and Ad-aware => nothing to declare. Then I conclude for a driver or hardware problem from my graphic card. I switch it with a AC770 viper => same problem. I updated mobo drivers, SiS AGP drivers, SiS IDE drivers and Windows 2000 Sp4, direct x 9.0b and all patches from microsoft !!!! Memtest error => 0 errors in 2 passes. I still have trouble today with 2 different GC. If I pause any movie with BsPlayer and close program => system reset. The point is I don't really know if my problem is linked with the program but I know everything started from it. Regards. |
