Default build 805: File is corrupted! Seeking will be very slow!

I'm running BSplayer v 1.00 RC1 build 805.

This weekend I started getting a problem that with every avi I open (dvix3.11,4,5.x and Xvid) results in a message-box declaring "File is corrupted! Seeking will be very slow!". In some avi's the audio disappears, eventhough it seems like it's decoded in the same way as my other avi's.

I've uninstalled Bsplayer and installed it several times (then removing the folders, and cleaning the registry), the same with the codecs. It still does not work.

When I enter the preferences, all alternatives below "video" (divx 3.11 properties and so on) are greyed out.

The strange thing is, that if I open any of the avi's in VLCplayer 0.7.0 everything seems to be ok = no sound problems, no warning about corrupted files. This should mean that it's not a codec-problem, right?

It seems like some other people have had this problem when i did a google, but I have not found any good solution to the problem.

Does anyone know what to do?

See this: http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=3562

This has to do with the AVI-splitter. Re-install DirectX and beware when installing ViPlay or other media players that comes with their own splitter (see link in the last post in the thread) Be careful if you install the splitter that comes with it!

The reason that VLC works is that it comes with its own codecs, it doesn't use the ones you've installed separately.
