Darkintent is an unknown quantity at this point
Default I have a similliar issue

It doesnt crash on my mkv files but the internal sub handler was messed up its a bug in the software itself it may simply have more catastrophic effects on your machine, or you may have other problems. My MKV files play just fine and my ogms dont display the subtitles. Not to knock the coder but I think he or she fell asleep when they fixed the mkv support, its also pretty bad that the first thing on the website news section says the ogm subtitle bug was fixed. [Its my understanding that the part that is cut off on the main page belongs to rc 805.] You should probably upgrade your system to windows 2000, no wait dont do that sincxe the source got leaked upgrade to winblows err windows xp.
