Default BSPlayer freezes when playing mpg movies (build 492)

BSPlayer freezes when playing svcd mpg movies (build 492). Can't get them to work in Windows Media Player either, but they work fine in PowerDVD. What could be wrong?

I tried last build (492) playing MPEG movies, and it works OK.

I think it isn't a problem with Bsplayer, but with your system or your MPEG file, more because you say that you can't neither play it using Windows Media Player.

The movies are SVCD mpgs... does that make a difference? I know that PowerDVD has it's own decoder, and I suppose that is why the movies are working there. Does anyone know where I can download a codec so it all works in BSPlayer?

You probably don't have a working mpeg-2 decoder for it. Check www.elecard.com/download/

Default Can't play MPG file

I had same problem (cannot play MPG files with 492, but with 490 it worked) and solution was unreg.bat and ClearReg.exe and then install 492.

It crashes when "Use overlay Mode 2" is set. Mode 1 works good.

unfortunatelly the current release ain't playin svcds in any overlay mode.
it must be a bug mate coz the old release had no problems playin em.
m2p, m2v, vcd files make no probs m8, however svcds crash the player.
tested imediately after installing the current release.
hate my urge for skins :

thx

ps: found and reinstalled the 488. the error remains.
