Default no sound

I am trying to play a VOB which was ripped from a DVD.The image is OK but i cannot here any sound.I had the same problem with Windows Media Player(with the same file).
I came to the conclusion that is a missing codec problem,
I downloaded AC3 filter. The problem in Windows Media Problem was solved.
But the problem in BSplayer remained.(no sound)
What can be wrong?
In Options in the filter management i saw that AC3,Vorbis and DivX aare all installed and since i read in the F.A.Q section that these codecs are required than normally there should not be a problem but there still is.
I need to say that with other file types there is no problem.
The problem appears only with VOB.
And the file must be OK since it plays with WNP.

Perhaps also check what is selected at "For AC3 decoding use:" under
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Audio
