Hello,

I have Vista sp3 and I have downloaded every codec listed. I still can't get DVD or really any video file to play without totally freezing.

I am getting so frustrated. Please help.

Do we talk about Vista SP1 or XP SP3 ?

Can you also post some technical specifications, such as CPU, RAM, videocard ?
Thank you.

Probably he is a M$ internal  (just kidding)

Anyway for DVDs have you downloaded these codecs?
What do you mean by saying "I have downloaded every codec listed"? Listed where? Here?
Try downloading and installing FFDShow (and remember to answer adicoto's question ;) )

It's Vista SP3. CPU is Intel Core Duo 2.33GHz, 2GB ram, NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS video card.

Thank you!

OK, then, you surely are an M$ internal, as Vista is at SP1 for the moment. But let's assume you have windows vista. You have downloaded and installed the codecs you need ? Or just downloaded ? Because under Vista, you must disable UAC to install them.
