Remembering position of video files / DVD - unnecessary duality Information about at what exact point was a particular DVD closed is stored in C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\BSplayer PRO\DVDdata Every DVD played gets its own file, for example "dvd-3894430869545873004.sav". And if you delete it, then the information is lost But there is also that file "bsplay.sav" stored in C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\BSplayer PRO\ It has information about files like MKV / WMV / AVI but also about "VIDEO_TS.IFO". So does this also store info about the point at which DVD playback was ended? Probably not, because after deleting this file, the info about that is apparently taken from a particular DVD SAV file from that "DVDdata" folder [because after deleting "bsplay.sav" you simply loose instructions for MKVs and others, but not for your DVDs] So why can't there be one method of storage? Now to clear the history, I have to both delete the "bsplay.sav" file and files stored in "DVDdata" folder- and that is not all As those DVD files in "DVDdata" are written in a different way than the content of a single "bsplay.sav" file, so could those MKVs and others also be stored as a separate entries [files] written in their own way. And here is the funny part: apparently they already are. Because there is also this folder C:\Users\***\AppData\Roaming\BSplayer PRO\cache with MPOS files, created for every video file that was played [but not for IFO files] So what is the point of having A] DVDdata files B] bsplay.sav file C] MPOS files at the same time? And how is the user suppose to remember to clean BS.player history in 3 different places? |
