play file when cd is inserted my suggestion: bsplayer should have an autoplay function that starts a video file when a "divx" cd is inserted (a cd with a divx movie :-). it should work under operating systems like Win98, Me and Win2k. why? well, i view my divx movies on a "multimedia pc" wich is only for viewing movies or playing audio and so on... and i want to view the movie right on insert, just to waste no time :) and... i would like to have an autoplay function for my "old" cds: those who don't have an autoplay.ini... and the easyest way would be an autoplayer implemented in the bsplayer. ---you've made a good job, go on like this!--- |

Windows XP Anyone?
Hi. Windows XP has this facility built in - when you insert a cd it will scan the cd for files and if it recognises video files on the cd you can set it to play them straight away in a variety of players, the usual being windows media player (yuk!). But, check out my other post with a program I have written to allow BSplayer to appear in this list, and open video files from a CD. It works pretty well - i'm running it on my multimedia pc! A simple solution which would probably work (i havent tested it) would be to burn an AUTORUN.INF to the disc with the media file. As long as you have the media files associated with bsplayer, then when the disc is inserted Bsplayer will start and the file should begin playing :) Example: Code: [autorun] OPEN=Yourmoviefile.avi |

@ bubba well, as i said i use a spezial (old:-) pc to view my movies. its running win98 because it has only 300 mhz. i dont think winxp will work (very fast/ stable). @dogmeat (fallout fan??) i have more than 80 cds that dont have any autoplay.ini. i would like to view/autostart them although. but you are right, it will work but only on Win98 or win2k/xp win2k/xp has another syntax than win98. i found a little prog that makes it possible to start on both os (you have to burn the prog + the autoplay file on the cd). if anyone is interestet in in i can attach it next time... |
