Hi all,
Has any of you tried Windows Media Center? I'm using it on Vista Ultimate and it really kicks a**es I.M.O. This is now my tool of choice for DVD playback.
Advantages of WMC:
- All in one, pictures, videos, music.
- Nice things to do while music plays (slideshows, going to other places of the software, ...).
- Beautiful interface, in my opinion, the best interface for a Media player.
- Completely driveable from the couch using a cordless keyboard! No need to go back to the puter in order to do this and that, as everything is written in BIG letters in BIG menus.
But unfortunately, WMC is not suited for divx-like videos. I have tried some plugins that are supposed to make it work ? la BsPlayer, but couldn't get them to function.
So I'm still using BsPlayer for these great features:
- Universal video playback
- subtitles support
- bookmarks
- keyboard shortcuts settings
- etc etc
However, I would suggest to the developpers of BsPlayers to try Windows Media Center 8)
