BS Player froze my laptop

new version 2.56 free couldn't install on my xp laptop, only froze it up after 95% of instalation. can't use it, can't remove it. every time froze my laptop completely. tried with revo and revo pro, all kinds of uninstall but every time my laptop got frozen.

any advice?
