Default bsplayer fails to play divx movies with ffdshow

Hi,

I just installed bsplayer and it worked great until I discovered it does not play divx movies. XVid, mpeg2 both work fine as does AC3. Ffdshow works file in koala player and others so I don't really understand why it fails to work here. I tried to copy the ax file to the filters directory but nothing happend.....I also tried to reinstall ffdshow without success. And it says on the homepage of bsplayer that a shortcut to the ffdshow settings was added in a privious release but this seems to be missing (Or I am too stupid to find it ;-) )
Could some one please help me out?

Cheers,

Anton

can't help much except by saying that ffdshow does fine at my place and many others...
I'm still on the 17th june 2002 stable release, have not tested later versions (but others did)

the shortcut exists indeed (unless it was removed in latest bslpayer version, I didn't check for that but it's unlikely)... sorry I can't make a screenshot right now to help you find it

You might want to try going into the options and under the "General" tab, check/uncheck "Don't load DivX ;-) settings". Maybe messing with that will fix it. Also, recheck your configuration of ffdshow. Hope this helps.
