BSPlayer is free, but is it open source? I might be in need of a custom movie player in the near future. It would play standard video and audio format but in custom file container. It would be much easier if i could rely on someone else's very efficient code for reading video and audio stream and just customize the player. Therefore, I wonder if BSPlayer is open source. In case it is not, we could talk about another solution regards, Phan  |

BSplayer open source ? That would be great. I think BST doesn't have time to pursue development of BSplayer. It would then great to open the source t okeep the soft alive ! BST, can you hear me ? Are still around ??? Does anyone know ? |

i agree! bsplayer should be open source. it's a wonderful player but i am finding myself using it less and less because it has so many bugs. if it was open source it would get fixed up really fast. maybe BST could even have a section for third party bsplayer releases! there could also be a forum section dedicated to the discussion of the source code. good idea huh? i think so! come on BST !!!!!!!!!

I agree, BSplayer is by far the best divx/mpeg/etc player around, but it needs some serious attention. I really think that going open-source could benefit BSplayer as a project. There are quite a few bugs, and lots of requests, all of which would get some real attention if it went open source.[/quote]
