Default MP4 File's not working!

I've been getting the same error for a while on an MP4 file. It is "unkown file type()" thats right! it gives me no file type! Quicktime runs the file but it runs crappy and i can't get BSplayer to run it. I've tried things like FFDShow and Xvid. Anyone know any other ways to fix this?

Maybe you need divx 5.05?
If you are not sure, try avicodec,
which tells you wich codec is needed for your movie file.
http://avicodec.duby.info/
Works for avi and mpg's.

hm, bsplayer doesnt seem to support mp4 files at all (even if you have the right ds filters installed)

i hope bst will fix that soon :)

edit: hm no seems that the enviviotv ds filter doesnt seem to work (it uses its own renderer)

Try 3vix http://3ivx.com/ . I know it works for me, because Naruto Episode 1 from ToriyamaWorld is in Mp4 format and I play it in BSplayer. So go try it and goodluck. Oh and if it doens't work after installing it mess around with the programs settings a bit.

yeah, it works with 3ivx, but not with enviviotv ds filter

note that envivio is able to also decode "advanced content" like dvd-like menues and user interactivity in mp4 (which 3ivx doesnt handle)
