How do I Preview with a .wmv in v1.00??

Hi,
This is more a question of curiosity than functionality:
I have (both) BSplayers v0.86 and newly installed v1.00 in my KL Extensions Tools and (to compare) have been alternating them for "Preview with" for downloads in-progress.
I can Preview e.g. a .wmv with v0.86 but CANNOT with v1.00 even though (in v1.00) WMV is checked under >Preferences>General>File Types>Associated Extensions.

So the question is: how do I program v1.00 to accept .wmv so I can "Preview with" like I am able to with the older version v0.86?

Also, where in v0.86 are file types added? I go to Preferences in v0.86 and do not see File Types or Extensions anywhere. Were they in the Codec Pack?
