Default Bad picture quality when scaled!

I get really bad picture quality when I scale or play with
fullscreen! When I use the same codecs on different viewers I get good picture quality...
Why is that???

Have you tried using Overlay mode 1 or Overlay mode 2?
You can find those options under the menu "Options" -> "Preferences" -> "Video".

Overlay 2 helped a bit.. But Windows media player still gets
VERY MUCH better picture quality in full screen...

This is strange because with 0.86 I didn't have this problem!

What can it be?

So i checked "overlay extended mode" in DivX properties (5.05)
It worked. For me

Change desktop resolution, the higher the better...
or make BSP change it while in fullscreen...
If then video ur playing have a high resolution it will probly look bad when scaled, specially if actual res. is lower than the video ur playing...
