hazmat42 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Playing XVID from cd = "unknown file format", not

I just created an autorun cd that should play my .avi file using the filters, player, and other necessary files that are just on the CD. It is an xvid
encoded video file + AC3 audio, but problem is, it works fine playing it from the cd on WinXP computer, but when I try to play CD on Win98 computer, I get "unknown file format [xvid]"! However, I copied everything into a folder on the Win98 machine, and when I launched the movie, it played without any problems. I just had the problem when playing the movie from CD on Win98. What gives?

This is the currently cd structure:

folder/doc/ini_files.html
skin_actions.txt
folder/filters/iviaudio.ax
mpgaudio.ax
xvid.ax
folder/lang/english.lng
folder/sdk/bsp.h
bsp.pas
folder/skins/mediaBOX V-1
bsplay.exe (Version .86 build 501)
bplsy.exe.manifest
bspfilters.sam
bspfilters.dat
bsrendv.dll
clearreg.exe
unreg.exe
xvidcore.dll (from XVID 1 - most recent build, can't remember off hand
movie.avi
movie.bsi
autorun.inf

...and this is my bspfilters.dat text:

[BSPlayer filter def file]
AddFilter xvid.ax,{64697678-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71},XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
AddFilter iviaudio.ax,{7E2E0DC1-31FD-11D2-9C21-00104B3801F6},InterVideo Audio decoder
AddFilter mpgaudio.ax,{51653990-57B4-11CF-8EB1-02608C9BABA2},InterVideo Audio decoder
[Video]
XVID={64697678-0000-0010-8000-00AA00389B71},XviD MPEG-4 Video Decoder
[Audio]
2000={7E2E0DC1-31FD-11D2-9C21-00104B3801F6},InterVideo Audio decoder

The only thing I have noticed is that when I created a version without
the "xvidcore.dll" file, I got the "Unknown file format [XVID]" error in Win98, but in WinXP, BSPlayer told me that it "can't find xvidcore.dll"
It's the only thing I can think of since the .dll for XVID 1 is not "xvid.dll"
as with past versions of xvid.

Anybody have any ideas? The movie is encoded with XVID 1, so I can't use older versions of XVID. Also, don't want to install anything, just play
using files strictly on the CD.

BTW, I also thought of using ffdshow instead and found this post:

http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic....fdshow+autorun

Does anybody have any comments on this post? Are there any other files
I need to add? Will it work for most recent version(ffdshow2004520.exe)?

Someone bail me out here! Thanks!
