Which is the best font to display subtitles on a TV?

I am trying to display subtitles on a TV but can't find the best font to display on the TV. Do you have any suggestions?

Many thanks!

I simply use Ariel (I've selected yellow colour) and (under {rightclick} > Options > Preferences > Subtitles) I've set with respect to font:
Use outline font (so that e.g. a white font is still visible on a white background)
Use anti-aliased font
Transparent background

If you just have the default Windows' fonts, "Verdana" is the only one that has been specially designed and optimized for 'Screens'.

Almost all fonts look good, but in theory 'Verdana' should be one of the better ones.

Bye,

Luis.
