Default can't see the movie on TV

hey,
I hv the BSPlayer ver 810 (the newest) and when I connect my computer to the TV I can't see the movie. I see all the rest of the screen including the subtitles but instead of the movie just a black rectangular.
I used to see movies on my computer but sometime I formatet it and installed winXP and now I cant see.
with win 2000 I saw movies and could be also with win XP but I'm not sure.
this happens also with media player but not with real player (but I can't see subtitles with these two)

thanks

I think the problem might be your settings in Windows.
Do you have NVIDIA graphics card?
Check the manual for your graphics card, and read about the tv-out part.
These steps may help:
Go to your display settings(right-click desktop->properties), click Settings->Advanced
Here, you should have an extra tab for your graphics card(Mine says GeForce 440 Go.)
Click that tab and see if you see something about "Overlay" mode or something.
If you do, set it to "Secondary device" or the one that's your TV.
Try it now.

If it still doesn't work, try looking in the rendering settings for BSplayer.
Options->Video->Video Rendering
It should usually be set to Overlay Mode 1.
But if it still doesn't work, try some of the other settings.

Hope this helps a bit.
Hard to describe the graphics card overlay part since there are so many different graphics cards.
