fresh install, now bsplayer no worky..wmp&zoom work fine

hey if anybody can point me in the right direction, i'd greatly appreciate it

i'm having a heck of a time

bsplayer isn't working now after a clean install

i installed zoomplayer, ffdshow, latest xvid and now when i goto launch an xvid avi in bsplayer it doesn't do anything

i've tried messing with the video renderer and switching it to overlay2 and also unchecking disable yv12, but no luck

i don't know what else to try

i've even completly uninstalled ffdshow, and bsplayer and reinstalled (settings and all), still no go

anybody have any ideas as to what to try

like i was saying, zoomplayer and wmp are working fine

thanks in advance, please advise-

1) are you sure the video is xvid?
2) are you sure ffdshow is not installed?
3) if you have divx installed, do you have checked "support generic mpeg" option? (uncheck it)
4) are you sure you have latest xvid from Koepi? (get it here --> www.koepi.org )

yes i have the latest xvid codec, and ffdshow installed

the only thing i've changed inside ffdshow was that i'm using

sharpen
resize: x2, lanzcos 4
levels: bringing down the blacks and the whites a little bit
and then introducing a slight noise

as said before, even with this stuff off, or with the default ffdshow settings (re-installed with settings deleted) and a clean bsplaye install, i get the same thing

i'm sure that it is an xvid source file. the one thing that is weird, is when i goto options, video info, the surface type says YUY2 DR-Overlay

i'm not sure what that means

again, i've tried overlay 1, overlay 2, and also uncheched the disable YV12 colorspace setting

i'm really stumped, i prefer to use bsplayer over zoom and wmp, but i'm not sure what's going on here. maybe i should install an older version?

anybody?

i uninstalled and installed an old version, 100.810

not sure how old that is, but now it works again

is there a way to get the version right before september 14th?

i know that worked for me

I think you just got it.
[edit]
oh, no... lol, that's the version before that ^^'
