1) are you sure the video is xvid? 2) are you sure ffdshow is not installed? 3) if you have divx installed, do you have checked "support generic mpeg" option? (uncheck it) 4) are you sure you have latest xvid from Koepi? (get it here --> www.koepi.org ) |

yes i have the latest xvid codec, and ffdshow installed the only thing i've changed inside ffdshow was that i'm using sharpen resize: x2, lanzcos 4 levels: bringing down the blacks and the whites a little bit and then introducing a slight noise as said before, even with this stuff off, or with the default ffdshow settings (re-installed with settings deleted) and a clean bsplaye install, i get the same thing i'm sure that it is an xvid source file. the one thing that is weird, is when i goto options, video info, the surface type says YUY2 DR-Overlay i'm not sure what that means again, i've tried overlay 1, overlay 2, and also uncheched the disable YV12 colorspace setting i'm really stumped, i prefer to use bsplayer over zoom and wmp, but i'm not sure what's going on here. maybe i should install an older version? anybody? |
