Default Messed up Video

I recently recieved a copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and Im trying to get it to play. I have tried to play this file numerous files in BSPlayer (version: 1.36 and Build: 825,5) and below is the result that I always get.

I have FFDShow filter installed, and I have consulted the FAQ already and it seems that if I have FFDShow installed, I dont need much of anything else.

Can someone help me with this problem?

Yes, if you have FFDShow installed you don't need almost anything else.. but if your coputer configuration is pretty recent (CPU > 700MHz etc...) it's better to install the proper codecs for relative filetypes (DivX, MPEG2, XviD and Div3 should be enough)..

Take a look at adicoto's list of codecs which link you can find in BSPeter's "READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" post (aka Help2Help)

And which version of FFDShow do you have installed?

Sure looks to me like an old version of FFDshow (2004) trying to play an DivX movie.

Try to update ffdshow (at least from this summer) or unistall ffdshow and install DivX, XviD, AC3 filter and an MPEG2 decoder. DivX at least 5.2 and XviD 1.1.
