Default BSplayer as default mms://... player

BsPlay can play web streamming links like mms://80.84.129.169/telesur45 with Open URL menu feature.

I want BsPlay to be the default player for mms streaming, so when I make click on a link like this BsPlayer shows the video.

As you can see below I replaced Window Media player by BsPlayer in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MMS\shell\open\command but nevertheless the BsPlayer pops up it doesn't play the stream. It's like a command line parameter is necessary. This is what I've done:

Can you help me?

After the BSplayer path you have to add the %L parameter.
Example: "C:\Archivos de Programa\BSplayer\bsplayer.exe" "%L"

I can play the stream file you linked to

You have told BSPlayer to start. Still you have to tell the program what to play. %L means “long file name with path”.

Have you tried to open a streaming url from BSplayer contextual menu?
Can you provide a link to the avi stream?
Almost all the streams I tried worked for me..

I made few tries, but since the movie streams are embedded into the browser (played by WMP) I have to do more tests and try to figure it out why those files can't be played by BSplayer... (yes, I can't play them with it.. :( )

I also tried to copy and paste the avi url into BSplayer "Open URL" dialog window, but without success..

I'll try again! Maybe by other ways

Using IE7 and WMP 9 I can't play the files. Probably a newer codec. And BSPlayer say "unknown file format" when opening the file. Can somebody post here what filters are used to decode the file ?

@Tizio: When file is opened, rightclick and copy from there the adress, like :

http://www.riemurasia.net/jylppy/alb...ideo/jump3.avi

I tried with Firefox, but it claims for the wmp plugin (and for now I don't want to install it :P )
Then I tried with IE6 and WMP9 and it worked. Now if I'm able to find out which codecs are used I'll post them here
When I try to open it in BSplayer it only says "Can't open file" :?

Yes, I know that, when I wrote that I meant that I tried to open it in BSplayer by copy-and-paste and then BSplayer wasn't able to play it.. :)

Rightclick on the playing video and in properties you'll find the filters used.

The address you gave returns a HTML file which tells I'm "BUSTED". If you are busted too (receive HTML), then this is the cause why BSPlayer cannot play. This webpage is too bloated and complex. Therefore this is not BSPlayer's problem.

Can you save the video you would like to play so that it can be examined?

Edit: I downloaded this file via a proxy. It is in Clear Video Cinepak (CVID) format. Audio is uncompressed PCM.

I know, but I can't since my PC crashed and I had to restart it (not BSplayer fault, but mine  , too many processes opened on my old&poor PC :P )

Maybe in 15 minutes I can try again to retrieve the codecs used

Perhaps player raises "Unknown format" error because XP by default lacks many obsolete VFW codecs. Iccvid.dll was used to decode this video.

I used WindowsME (I have problems with XP and my connection) and no codecs are listed...

I downloaded the movie and it gave me:
4CC: mp42 -> S-Mpeg 4 version 2

and to decode it BSplayer (once downloaded) uses QASF.DLL (Mpeg4 decoder DMO)

4CC: cvid -> Cinepak by Supermac
Audio: PCM

Only dll used by BSplayer is quartz.dll :?
