Default Unknown File Type Error - Gspot Says Codecs are Installed

I am getting this error when I try to play an MPEG2 video. I can hear the audio but there is no video. I can play AVI files. I can play the same MPEG2 video in Windows Media Player. And Gspot tells me I have the codecs installed.

Just for the heck of it I installed DivX and XviD codec, and still the same error.

I am using BSplayer Pro v2.1

Any suggestions?

Tizio will become famous soon enough
Default

Take a look at adicoto's list of codecs

Elecard decoder is probably the best choice for you.
Anyway the same decoder (well, more precisely the demultiplexer) is also available in K-Lite codec pack, but I'll not suggest you to install K-Lite in case you don't perfectly know what you are going to do (a bad installation of codecs lead to non viewable videos etc.)
