Subtitles in MKV (x264, H264) But i am french, so i watch MKV in english, but with subtitles in french, and BSPlayer have a problem with this.... BSplayer can display the subtitles, but : - we can't choose the size - we can't move up or down the subtitles - in full screen, the subtitles are ALWAYS in the movie, even if i want them in the "Black Part" for 2.35 movies... - for a 4/3 screen : if the video is 4/3, subtitles are perfect, but if the video is in cinemascope (16/9, 1.85, 2.35) the subtitles are "crushed" (size down in height, perfect in width...) - inverse problem for video in laptop (screen 16/10).... Sorry for my english!!! |

Can you tell us wich decoders (filters) are used to decode the file and also, and the most important, the splitter you use ? You can find them when playing an MKV file via rightclick->options->filters->advanced. Please post here. Do you use internal or external subtitles ? Are you sure you use BSPlayer's internal subtiles rendering engine, or vobsub/vsfilter ? LE: tested with both types of subtitles, no problem in here, using CoreAVC, AC3filter, Gabest matroska splitter |

the subtitles are display : internal in BSplayer In filters : - Default Direct Sound Device - AC3Filter 1.20b - CoreAVC Video Decoder 1.3.0.0 - EQ - Real Audio Decoder - Source : - About : Haali Media Splitter 1.7.77.5 - Options... |

1. Try to uninstall real audio decoder nand install AC3Filter 2. Try to uninstall Haali media splitter and install Gabest matroska splitter Try 1. and if no succes then try 2. |

i have uninstalled haali splitter, real audio decoder, ac3filter. i have installed gabest matroska splitter. Results : i have the video and sound working (i can also choose the language). But i can't have any subtitles.... WHY ??? :( |
| |||
Since ages there was an incompatibility between Haali and BSPlayer. Why ? I don't know. Seems there are a lots of issues (still) with the splitter. As my personal opinion, I try to use Gabest because the results match better my preferences. SOmetimes the results are not the best, but neither Haali's. So, we just have to hope the team will solve this issues.

As I've said, the results are not the best allways. But it's posible to have that problem because of the encoder who used in matroska container a stream compressed in x264 but using VfW profile. Here you can download lates build, 1.0.2.9 http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...FilterPack.htm http://www.afterdawn.com/software/vi...a_splitter.cfm But as the subtitles are in VobSub format, you can also allow it to display the subtitles . I know it's not a good solution, but for the moment... |
