Default About loading filters...

So if i, i.e. open the file that got AC3 audio and h264 (CoreAVC) video, ffdshow is still loaded to bsplayer memory. And if i open the file that doesn't got AC3, AC3filter is still loaded to bsplayer memory. Why is that and is there a way to avoid this?

I see the filters that are loaded to bsplayer with "WhatsHappening" program.

I installed the newest version of AC3 filter and in the filter settings I selected the filter to be active only for AC3 streams, no other (there are several others there selected by default, just uncheck it).

I use AC3Filter only for AC3, DTS & DVD. And those are disabled in ffdshow. I just wonder why some filters are loaded to bsplayer memory, even though they are not needed. They are not used by bsplayer, but they are under bsplayer.exe process.

If i i.e. open MP4 file that uses CoreAVC and CoreAAC, AC3Filter and ffdshow are still loaded to memory.

DirectShow works the same here too. I guess that is one more reason why unused filters should be removed and bloated ones replaced with more lightweight variants.

Yeah, when unneeded filters are loaded, it also means more memory usage by bsplayer.

It would be nice, if only filters/codecs needed by the file would be loaded...
