Default BSPlayer doesn't play .mpg and DVD

I search for this issue the forum, I installed K-Lite pack but ONLY the PowerDVD thing, but BSplayer doesn't play .mpg (mpeg-2).
I use BSplayer Pro 2.15.
Gspot says the codecs are installed.
Neither plays BSplayer DVD's.
This is boooooring, it costs a lot of time.
I don't want to upgrade for € 20!!
Other players don't have trouble to play these files.

Any advice?
Thanks in advance.

First of all, update BSplayer to latest beta, then uninstall klite codec pack and install ffdshow (it should handle mpeg2 files) and AC3 Filter (probably you'll alos have AC3 sound)
if you want to use klite, then reinstall it by choosing the option Playback only (without player)

In an old K-lite package 2.77 Full Beta, Mainconcept 1.0.0.78 (Decoder + Audio Decoder + Splitter) should work fine with Bsplayer.

It's a testimonial

Zero: thanks for your replies!
First: update BSplayer? I don't find any free update link.
Second: ffdshow didn't work.
Third: K-Lite 2.77f-beta WORKS!!! Except for DVD. DVD has normal sound but striped image.

Media Player Classic (-Home Cinema) should play DVDs.

I never understood why it doesn't get the horizontal size right. Never seen anything like it in DirectShow.

I was able to decode DVDs correctly with the filters described above. but Windows Media Player was fine, don't know latest releases about BS's.

The Cyberlink MPEG-2 decoder that is included in the K-Lite pack works fine for playing DVDs. If it doesn't work for you, then its the fault of BSPlayer or something else broken on your computer. You can probably fix the problem by updating BSPlayer to a more recent version.

The display problems you have are usually caused by buggy drivers. Update your drivers. It can also help to change the video renderer in BSPlayer options.
