Default I cant see video picture because of my resolution?!

I played my AVIs and Divx with other softwares like Divx Player or Ridlight but I want to play them with subtitles so I found that BsPlayer can do this.
I installed it , I get sount and the subtitles are playing but thre is no picture... I tryed changing the BSPlayer settings but no success till I changed the video resolution, making it less ... and it came the video picture.
But this is not the real solution because I dont want to reduce my PC resolution or I cant reduce it every time I play viodeo. Also there were no such problems playing the AVIs with the other players.
So it should be something...

can someone help me please...

I have Win XP Pro , SP2
Divx and Xvid codecs I have already

I see. You have an integrated video card (it's in the motherboard, you don't have an independent videocard). In this case I have 2 suggestions:

1. Upgarde your motherboard drivers (I've seen intel boards doing that)
2. Get into the BIOS and try to allocate more memory to the videocard (128 MB if possible)

When your PC starts up, on the black screen which tells you the CPU and memory, press the key stated there (DEL or F2). This way you should enter the BIOS (a small program that tells your operating system which components are inside). Yous should find an TAB named "integrated peripherals" where you can find the option named above. Also, if you can tell us the model of your motherboard, I could be more precise.

When your computer starts, you have a black screen with lots of informations on it. From up to bottom, you have the BIOS manufacturer (AWARD, AMI, PHOENIX), the motherboard model and firmware number, CPU, amount of memory, drives..and so. If you press the Pause/Break key, this screen remains unchanged untill another key is pressed. So, you can read all that informations.
Also you can use applications designed for this, such as Everest, unknown device identifier and so...
