problem to run mp4 How to fix that when is video file Bsplayer to start it and when is audio file Winamp to start it. Please help me to solve this, i hate it! ----------- OMG i update BSplayer codec list and now wont to play from BSplayer .mp4 videos :/. How to back that now? |
I don't know if you can do that. As long as MP4 extension it's used for audio files instead of .MPA, you can't choose which file to be opened with which program. As to associate back, you must go to BSPlayer preferences -> file types and re-associate the extension with BSPlayer. |
"As to associate back, you must go to BSPlayer preferences -> file types and re-associate the extension with BSPlayer." Of course i know for that! I get the message:" Unknown file format () " Media Player works with mp4. |
Probably you installed Haali again and didn't allowed him to decode MP4 streams. Probably you can find this option in it's configuration window. I personally don't use it, I prefer Gabest MP4 splitter. |
Ok i what i have to do? |
Either you try to find in Haali Media Splitter configuration window, the option to be used for MP4 files, or install Gabest MP4 splitter. |
I downloaded from here: Free-Codecs.com :: Download MP4 Splitter 1.0.0.4 : MP4 Splitter helps to read MP4 files , installed and when i run mp4 with BSplayer it takes 99% cpu. |
Can you post here also the filters used to decode the stream ? (play the file -> options -> filters) |
1 Attachment(s) This? |
No, it is necessary to do like adicoto indicated in order to know which codecs/filters BS.Player actually uses, i.e. load the videofile and then: (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced click on the [+] signs shown for additional info. |
|
OK, seems that you messed up some filters and at this moment MPEG4 decoding it's done by internal window's decoder (CSdecoder) which is not the best solution. My advice, install XviD or assign ffdshow video to decode all MPEG4 |
" My advice, install XviD or assign ffdshow video to decode all MPEG4" How to do that? And what's happen here? It was all ok till BSplayer update codeces. There wrotes some of them are old and i have to install newer which i did and after that all this happen. |
1 Attachment(s) If you prefer XviD, you can download and install it Free-Codecs.com :: Download Koepi's XviD Codec 1.2.2 : XviD is a video codec just like DivX. or you can open ffdshow config window and assign libavcodec to decode xvid, divx, other mpeg4, div3, mp4x |
I prefer to all works perfect :). Sorry, but i do not know the diffrents b/w codeces. I think it is already setup. http://g.imagehost.org/0202/15_6_2009_13_12_03.jpg |
But BSPlayer doesn't use FFDshow. Strange thing. |
I reinstalled BSplayer and reinstalled K-lite codec pack 4.90 standard. i expect it will work without all those settings and to wait... Please could we fix this problem finally? |
If you uninstall BSPlayer (to reinstall), please also delete it's configuration files that you find into install folder. Once done, if you install klite codec pack, ignore bsplayer's message about old codecs. |
Of course i deleted. Please, could anybody append on this problem. I can't fix this. Please, change the name topic. |
So, at this moment, you have reinstalled BSPlayer and K-Lite codec pack ? MP4 files not working ? We're back at the first step ? |
I put Xvid for "Other MPEG4" and it finally works! But the is this all ok when i click "OK" in "ffdshow video decoder" i get this message: http://f.imagehost.org/0041/16_6_2009_11_40_50.jpg |
Probably local (BSPlayer's) and system instal of ffdshow got messed up. glad to know all works ok with XviD. ;) |
