I don't know if you can do that. As long as MP4 extension it's used for audio files instead of .MPA, you can't choose which file to be opened with which program. As to associate back, you must go to BSPlayer preferences -> file types and re-associate the extension with BSPlayer. |

"As to associate back, you must go to BSPlayer preferences -> file types and re-associate the extension with BSPlayer." Of course i know for that! I get the message:" Unknown file format () " Media Player works with mp4. |

Probably you installed Haali again and didn't allowed him to decode MP4 streams. Probably you can find this option in it's configuration window. I personally don't use it, I prefer Gabest MP4 splitter. |

I downloaded from here: Free-Codecs.com :: Download MP4 Splitter 1.0.0.4 : MP4 Splitter helps to read MP4 files , installed and when i run mp4 with BSplayer it takes 99% cpu.

No, it is necessary to do like adicoto indicated in order to know which codecs/filters BS.Player actually uses, i.e. load the videofile and then: (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced click on the [+] signs shown for additional info.

OK, seems that you messed up some filters and at this moment MPEG4 decoding it's done by internal window's decoder (CSdecoder) which is not the best solution. My advice, install XviD or assign ffdshow video to decode all MPEG4
|

" My advice, install XviD or assign ffdshow video to decode all MPEG4" How to do that? And what's happen here? It was all ok till BSplayer update codeces. There wrotes some of them are old and i have to install newer which i did and after that all this happen. |

If you prefer XviD, you can download and install it Free-Codecs.com :: Download Koepi's XviD Codec 1.2.2 : XviD is a video codec just like DivX. or you can open ffdshow config window and assign libavcodec to decode xvid, divx, other mpeg4, div3, mp4x |

If you uninstall BSPlayer (to reinstall), please also delete it's configuration files that you find into install folder. Once done, if you install klite codec pack, ignore bsplayer's message about old codecs. |
