What strings in the .xml are those related to keyboard and mouse control?
(deleting those would be enough, right?)

In Preferences go to General > Filetypes and add OGM as a new extension for BSplayer to use.

Then make sure you have the right ogg-splitter installed. I highly recommend to use the k_lite codec...
