Default 1.37 b826 fullscreen bug

So, I wanted to write bugreport about the fact, that when one use desktop in 1024x768 (or any other higher resolution) and set the fullscreenmode switch to, say, 800x600, then when exiting the fullscreenmode (by any way), the movie size is now the 800 pixels wide... (or whatever the resolution one switched to was)

Using key zoom 100% fix that, but still, it is annoying.

Yet it seems that it was almost fixed in the v1.37 b826. There is no more width problems at all, after getting back from fullscreen mode. There is slight height problem still (the movie window size was shorter at about 4-6 pixels when I return and when press the 2 key to get 100% size it get it is orginal width - i do it just to be sure and watch the changes...) ...
Same with 1.36.

However v1.37 b826 added a very nasty problem. Using normal Xvid movie, decoded by FFD show, 800 pixels wide Blue Valvet WAV rip - on fullscreen mode, the image is terribly trashed, like red was forced to stripes or something... Unusable.

Reverting back to 1.36 b825 fixed the problem.

 :?

Seems a shadow-picture to me, shifted left by about 1/4 of the picture's width.

Nope, reverting back to v1.36 fixed the problem ASAP

1.37 has a bug there... Default overlay used, 81.84 drivers are quite recent too... ;)

Got the same problem. I have an ATI Radeon video card, so it's not an nVidia problem. Going back to 1.36.825 fixed it like trodas already said.
Very annoying because now I have to use VLC for watching movies :(

Does the bug is still there if you use XviD decoder instead of FFDshow ? I think not, because I watched since then at least 20 movies with XviD encoding and have no problem whatsoever. I think this is BSPlayer's bug, but it's related to FFDShow. So, I think, maybe updating FFDshow will solve the problem. Worth to try ?
I can't reproduce this on XviD movies using XviD decoder.

I tried setting ffdshow to Xvid, but some reason ffdshow still decodes the video instead of Xvid itself. Updating ffdshow didn't work.
I'll stick to 1.36 until it's fixed.

btw, does anyone know why there are no nightly builds anymore? Those only get updated when a new BSPlayer version is released :/

I know you guys aren't so much into codec-packs, but I do recommend to use the k-lite pack (the correct one);
It has a no nonsense installer, lets you choose each codec to install and it *always* has the latest versions in it. Try the Full version:
http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...Codec_Pack.htm

Ever since I started using the releases of my friends here, I haven't seen any codec, shadow or overlay problems on my end of the screen.

K Lite supports BSplayer, by the way.

The K-Lite Codec Pack has a couple of major advantages compared to other codec packs:
- It it always up-to-date with the latest versions of the codecs.
- It is very user-friendly and the installation is fully customizable, meaning that you can install only those components that you really want.
- It has been very well tested, so that the package doesn't contain any conflicting codecs.
- It is a very complete package, containing everything you need to play your movies.

@adicoto: Might be related to ffdshow after all... Installing the latest Xvid version (www.koepi.org) did the trick for me :)
@Meow: codec packs really do suck :P
