But as far as my drive is region-2 compatible, why can't i play some of them with Windows Media Player old old Bsplayer (older than v2.0) ? Sometimes i get opening error sometimes it's read hardly...

First off, thanks for responding and taking care. I have necessary MPEG2 codecs (Mainconcept) and i'm able to play MPEG2 files with Bsplayer but i can't play DVD's with "menus" only VOB...

If i play a VOB extension DVD video file just by double clicking, i get "can't open". And i had a lot of paging errors on that DVD-ROM shown in "event log". But the drive reads well other video files...
