Hebrew titles reversed in release 2.63

Hi, Im using Windows XP and adding Hebrew subtitles manually (strangely the pop up doesnt appear automatically). In any case, the hebrew translation works but in reverse direction (ex: instead of "how are you?" I get "You are how?"). A reply a year ago suggested removing the check box for "use new parser" but this just changes the hebrew font to gibberish.
Do I have a codec problem or can this be fixed with the menu property options? Yes, I did try reinstalling and did this after reinstalling the K-Light standard codec package.
PS1: not sure of this has anything to do with the problem but when I change the menu language on the player interface to Hebrew, it all changes to giberish.
PS2: my other computer works beautifully with the same configuration I think.
