More information needed!
What is the type of the movie (which compression used). (See item 2 of my Help to Help post; click on link at bottom).
If you don't like to install another program (like GSpot), please let us at least know what filters you see if you .... rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced
(This information could perhaps be sufficient depending on what's shown there). Windows version?
Are you also using subtitles? Is a green arrow shown in your systemtray when playing the movie?

P.S.
By the way: lots of posts about "upside down".
If you click "Search" at the top of the page and then type e.g. "upside" as your keyword to search for, you will find lots!
