Already searched for a skin with a wide seek bar?
Like e.g. BlackLine_v3_kai4-5a or simplissimo (or why not make one yourselves? See item 7 of my Help2Help-post).

P.S.
You could alternatively also use "Jump to time" (rightclick > Playback > Jump to time)?
