My mistake. I meant l3codecx.ax. Version 1.5 outputted silence when fed with 256-320 kBit/s stream. That is the default decoder. In contrast I never encountered problems with 48 kHz, I have many streams of this samplerate, as well as 32 kHz. Tested and worked O.K. Could be specific drivers problem perhaps.

That's correct. I asked
Henry to report all DS libraries loaded. Maybe new DivX6 stuff interferes with good splitters.
