Maybe you accidentally changed your key-settings.
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Key definitions & WinLIRC

Note you can have different definitions for Windowed and Full screen mode)
A quick and dirty check (and reset to default keys) can be achieved by renaming (with BS.Player inactive) the file in which BS.Player stores these definitions, i.e.
BSpayer.xml to something different. Then, when you start-up BS.Player again, it will simply create a new BSplayer.xml file with all default(=standard) definitions.
