What is video/audio-info shown at the top of the right-hand half of (rightclick>) Options > Media info?
What codec(s)/filter(s) does BS.Player use for such file?
Find out as follows: (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced

Installed any codec-pack? (We generally advise against doing so!)
Did you allow BS.Player (at its installation) to
internally install the codecs/filters it needs?
