Default How do I run a .ts file?

I have a problem to run a .ts file.

First of all, the file doesn't show on the "open file" window if type is "MediaFiles", but if I set "All files" I can see and open it.

The first time I did it, I had no audio at any audio stream (the movie has 3 audio streams in different languages).

Then, I read some posts on this forum and I installed AAC codec. So, now I have audio in the 3 streams.

But the problem is with video: the first one or two minutes of playback everything seems to be OK. But then, it starts to jump frames or to stop for milliseconds, while the audio stream runs perfectly fluid.

My BS player is running on windows 7 with intel i3 processor (3.07 Ghz) and 4GB RAM.

I open the file with Windows Media Player and it runs OK, but I don't know how to switch the audio streams and it plays in Spanish (stream #1), while I want to listen to original English (#2).

I copy the file info as provided by the person who posted the movie (I'm afraid some things are in Spanish, but I guess you will understand):

(1)
.ts probably isn't defined as associated to BS.Player?
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > General > File types
Verify if it is in the list of "Associated extensions".
If not, there is a white box just above [Add extension]-button.
Type 'ts' in it and then add it as extension.
(2)
Number of version and build of BS.Player (or maybe BS.Player Pro)?
(3)
With that videofile loaded: what is shown under
(rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced?
(NB: Clicking in the [+]-signs reveals futher info and access to the filters/codecs shown)

Probably installing CoreAVC to decode the video stream instead of seven's built in DVB decoder will solve the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Where can I get CoreAVC for free? After installation, should I set BS to use it?

Anyhow, Windows Media Player plays the movie fluidly with the current decoder. Then, I wonder why BS doesn't.

By the way, does anybody know how to switch between audio streams in Windows Media Player?

Best,

mt

IIRC, you must instal external filters to swich audio streams in WMP (such as morgan multimedia stream swicher).

Dear Adicoto,

What is IIRC?

I installed coreAVC and now video is still not fluid and I lost audio.

What should I do now?
