Also perhaps .m4a isn't defined as associated to BS.Player yet? (rightclick >) Options > Preferences > General > File types Verify if it is in the list of "Associated extensions". If not, there is a white box just above [Add extension]-button. Type 'm4a' in it and then add it as extension.
