Default Q about media files & file info (not related to BSPlayer

Hi,

Hope it's OK to post here a Q about general media file issues...

First some background:

I downloaded a youTube file and converted it to .AVI...
Now, for whatever reason, when I play this file in ANY media player it shows, right on the main screen, some file info like:
Audio Track:
Input description: 44100 Hz, stereo 96 kbps mp2
Output description: 44100 Hz...
Number of channels: 2
Current input bitrate: 96kbps

Qs:
1. What caused this ifo to get displayed in the first place?
2. How do I get rid of it?
3. How do I prevent this from happening again in the future?

TIA for any help on this issue...

P.S.: I'm going to attempt to attach a screen capture... hopefully it'll go thru... OK, where's is the file that I attached to the post???

Default 274 views and no single reply!!!

I'm not sure what to make of it... Did I not explain myself clearly?
Was that a stupid Q?
Not relevant to forum focus?

In any event I found a simple solution to this problem... if anyone cares to find out what did the trick:

Happy media playing...

It was probably FFDshow. I am sure this subject was discussed a long time ago. A simple search should have done to solve the problem. If it's not ffdshow (but I bet all my money on it) then I must apologise.
And...people respond on the forum as soon they can.
This forum it's sustained by ordinary people devoted to this wonderfull player.

The culprit was indeed the ffdshow...

Now, as far as searching the forum... well, "you're right but"... one needs to be literate in the used terms on the issue in Q... I still don't know what that info (presented on screen) is called... how do you go about searching an issue without knowing the basic terms?

BTW, I couldn't find any reference to "Filter" in BS.Player settings... Is it there, somewhere, and just failed to find it? Otherwise, how does one control ffdshow from within BS.Player?

And... wanted to assure everyone that wasn't complaining on the no response... just surprised... just "concerned" that I may not have explained myself properly...

Thanks anyways...

Yes, you failed to find it.
Quote from lots of my posts:

(Rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced
Another possibility (to control FFDshow):
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Video > FFD show properties
