Lan mode can see all my PC content I just joined this community in the hope someone can shed some light on my 'issue'. It is not really a problem, but I do wonder how safe my system is tbh. The thing is that I have a cpl of droves and folders shared on my system, so I can watch movies and listen to music on my AC Ryan. However, when I enter LAN mode with BS player on my Galaxy SII, it can see ALL content on my computer. When I search my network from any other PC, it only shows my shared folders, which obviously is the way I want it to be. Do any of you experts know if this is normal, or what I could have done wrong with my security settings? BS player can even see my entire C drive, which does bother me a bit, after all, maybe my security is compromised or BS player has a way of seeing things. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. |

BSPlayer only sees what your server/computer sends to it. Something is incorrectly set with your sharing options. You aren't sharing all of your drives?

There's also a folder called ADMIN$ that isn't one of my drives and isn't accessible either but I have no idea where it comes from, or even how to access it on my Win7 PC. Could you advise how to get these $ drives off the LAN list? Cheers |

I liked the C$ feature
I notice you have fixed this feature in the current build. Mmmm... I actually really liked this feature - These folders are deliberate shared on my system and are protected my my user name and password. Is there a way I can still access the hidden $ drives - such as a preference? Ideally with out having to add many servers called <ipaddress>/D$ <ipaddress>/E$ etc (I have many HDDs that I want to access on one machine) Quote:
