Default HDMI 1080p Output using BSPlayer?

Got an interesting problem... I hook my Asus TF201 up to a TV via an HDMI cable and use BSPlayer to play 720p videos without any problem. However, when I play a 1080p video using BSPlayer in hardware acceleration mode (hardware decoding), no video is displayed on the TV but I do get the audio coming across the TV. If I change the setting in BSPlayer to software decoding, the 1080p video displays on the TV but is "jerky" and slow. Was wondering if there is an issue with the TF201 outputting 1080p in hardware acceleration mode or if this is a BSPlayer problem? Any ideas out there?
