Default Error playing playlist over SMB

I have a playlist in .m3u format (with relative addresses) that I am trying to play over SMB. I select the file in File Manager and choose to open in BS Player.

BS Player tries to open it but then gives the error "Error opening file <xxx>" where <xxx> is the name of the first filename in the playlist.

I am able to directly play mp3s over SMB, just not playlists.

Could be a bug, could be a error in syntax of m3u. Did you try to create playlist from BSPlayer and play it?

Can you send us a sample m3u?

So, in BSPlayer Android, there is an issue with m3u?
@Ico-man
Please remember, in BSPlayer Android, there is an issue with chf chapter files (working well in BSplayer Windows, not working in BSPlayer Android ) pending too!

Default Same problem here

Hi

looking for a solution to the same problem.

I'm having the same error when trying to open a m3u file which contain files located on a smb server. Here his the syntax of the file path :

smb://192.168.0.1/path/to/file/filename.mkv

I am able to open these files whith bsplayer when I launch them through es explorer.

Trying to paste some files on my internal storage and creating a playlist whith the local path give me a different result : bs player then show a message saying "generating list of files" (this message is in french saying exactly "Génère la liste des fichiers...") that never desappears.

Could someone give us some tips to find the syntax that bsplayer will accept in a playlist file for a media located on the internal storage or on a smb server?

Thank you for reading and sorry for my poor english.

Redisded

Edit : media files I'm trying to open through playlists don't have chapters.

Edit2 : I have to add that I use authentication to log on my smb server, so I'm wondering if it couldn't be the cause of errors. However, the connection to smb share is established while I'm trying as I'm able to browse my smb shares in es explorer or in the bs player browser.
