How to crash latest BSplayer easily. Furthermore, what seems to be a more serious issue, the file is then locked for writing on this computer even if (the crashed) BSplayer is closed. You cannot rename the file back nor delete it. I used the Unlocker util to remove lock and delete the file but some users who don't have Unlocker will be unable to delete/rename until they restart. |

"Latest" being which version and build number?

"Latest" at this moment actually is 2.51.1022.

well thanks for noticing that - this happens when you update the software silently. Users who have autoupdate/notifications switched off will never notice. But this bug belongs to entirely different category than the one I started the thread with.

So, as advised by (i.a.) me: always mention version and build number instead of using "latest" or similar expressions.

Note I will hardly ever test if I'm not sure we're talking about the same BS.Player builds! Anyhow, meanwhile tested (using this rar-archive, which I renamed to .avi); BS.Player simply opens a window "Unraring..." mentioning which media-files it unpacks and then starts playing them. So ... I cannot confirm. (Win XP SP3 - BS.Player Pro version 2.51 build 1022, 26 dec 2009)
