Flash Video (.flv) problem

I have a selection of files that i cannot get to play in Bs player 2.63 with standard codec installation . I have tried everything I could think of still with no success. Iam running win 7 32 bit system and i have also tried on my 62 bit system. Vlc player will play the files but bs and wmpc fail to play.

the error message im getting is Unable to play media file codec missing or file may be damaged.

Gspot says : unknown flash FLV format

and VLC Codec info says

Video
h264 mpeg-4-avc (part10)(avc1)
Audio
MPEG ACC AUDIO (mp4a)

I had these files playing on a previous system but no joy on my new ones
any help much appreciated.
