controls not working

regardless of the controls i chose (controls, color controls or the dsp-plugin entry) i dont get any of those config-screens displayed. the only control that works is the hw color controls. tried it with all overlay modes.

how can i get any of those config screens? i'd like to adjust some settings in my dsp-plugin :(

the button under preferences->audio->config is also there and clickable but doesn't do anything at all.

the build i use is 500.

You can't configure if you don't have something loaded, like an avi file or something. After loading a file, go back to dsp configuration options and find that the configure option is enabled. Some dsp plugins load it's own GUI when selected in the plugins column.
As for video configurations, after loading the video file, right-click on the movie window and go to properties, divx or xvid, AC3 or MP3.

Some dsp plugins can't be configured.

it already is, i had a file loaded. it's just that i can click it but nothing happens. the config dialog doesnt appear.

in this case it's enhancer and i know it can be configured. it worked in the past in some other version of bsplayer. but now i can only configure it in winamp. i also can't hear any difference with and without dsp-plugin. i'm not sure if dsp-plugins get used at all.

OK
I made some tests.
I have installed the enhancer, dsp_enhs.dll and equalizer dsp_superequ.dll
I have activated the dsp in bsplayer.
Go to audio.
Select the dsp plugin you want to use.
Press load. Then configure.
Also, on the movie window right-click, and on the menu you find a new topic named dsp plugin that is enabled and not greyed out any more.
So, both of the plugins acted ok and do what they were meant to do.
It seems all ok to me.

(not) OK
I've loaded i.a. "Enhancer", "Compressor & Wider" and other dll's in the defined Winamp plugin directory.
I've activated "Enable advanced plugins support"
Then (-of course- with a video loaded) loaded pressed [load] and subsequently [Config] (which both are active) and ..... nothing happens.
Also nothing happens when right-clicking on the video-window and selecting the DSP plugin.
(Yes, I'm using the latest 500 build)
It doesn't seem all OK to me.

I think the dsp plugins can handle only MP3 audio, not AC3. I have checked the same config described earlier with an AC3 stream (Matrix2 DVDrip) and no plugin can be used. I don't think is bsplayer problem.

This DSP Plugin, 'Compressor & Wider 1.1 for Winamp' works fine with BSPlayer, I use it all the time. It works with any kind of audio source (MP3, AC3, OGG Vorbis, etc.) and with BSPlayer Build 498 or higher it also works with Movies with multiple audio streams.

Installed.
Works ok with MP3 streams, nothing new, nothing special, i've seen better.
Not workink with AC 3

yes, its not greyed out, but it's also not doing anything. i set the volume to max in enhancer through winamp since bsplayer isn't able to show me the config screen and i still don't hear any difference in the volume with or without enhancer enabled in bsplayer. in winamp it's a big difference with or without enhancer.

btw: is there a debug version of bsplayer available that does some logging or error reporting?

tried that one, too. its the same problem: no config, no effect while loaded but works perfectly in winamp.

just a question to the guys that are able to use plugins: what ds-filter do you use to decode mp3? i just switched from fraunhofer to odio from elecard and now i get the controls in bsplayer.

Fraunhofer, but not the one distributed with windows. But the one that came with divx3.11
