What version/build (number and date) are you using?
(See item 1 of Help to Help hereunder).
Did you do a full installation?

You have extracted the archive only.
First of all, download an .exe from the site (build 500). It is an installer. Install bsplayer from there, and then extract the archive (build 501) over the instalation and overwrite the files.

Please disregard adicoto's indications. Apparently he has not looked at the downloadpage recently. You only need to install "BSPlayer version 0.86.501 Installer" to be found under "Latest versions" on the original download site as under item 1 of Help to Help.

Yes, mr BSPeter, I haven't look carefully at the download page lately.
So, First of all, download an .exe from the site (build 501). It is an installer. Install bsplayer from there. It shoud work fine now. You have extracted an archive containing only the .exe file and a .dll file.
