Nope. Just Direct Show Ogg Vorbis Filter & Direct Show subtitle filter collection.

Is box "Use Subtitle Mixer for subtitles in OGG files" checked under "Subtitles" of "Options"/"Preferences"?
Further please see this post concerning possible conflict with ffdshow.

It was unchecked. If subtitles are disabled shouldn't other subtitle options become irrelevant? Anyway I tried checking it and got the same result (crash).

I tried uninstalling ffdshow and still got the same result. It seems BSPlayer is not on friendly terms with ogg movies at this time.

I should add that disabling subtitles causes BSP to crash whether or not the ogg movie has subtitles, and whether or not if there is a .srt file.

Disabling subtitles does seem to work for avi movies.

As I understand it, you do wish to see subtitles, so you shouldn't check "Subtitles disabled", now should you?
However, what you want is, that BSPlayer doesn't handle the (ogg-)subtitles itself, so you should check (select) "Use Subtitle Mixer for subtitles in OGG files", so - in my opinion - it isn't really illogical to have both options and they are relevant.
(I agree this doesn't help your present problems )

I want to see them sometimes, but I can't because of this problem. So I wanted to disable them in BSP and have ffdshow render them instead.
